Welsh-Speaking 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Pontypridd Contract: Full-time Start Date: May 2026 We are looking to appoint a dedicated and caring Welsh-speaking 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a friendly and inclusive school in Pontypridd .
The Role
Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs (ALN)
Support learning, communication, and emotional wellbeing through the medium of Welsh
Work closely with the class teacher, ALNCo, and support staff
Follow and contribute to individual support plans
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
The ability to communicate confidently in Welish (essential)
Experience working with children, ideally in a 1:1 or ALN support role
