Job Description:

Team Educate are recruiting for a passionate teaching assistant who speak fluent Welsh or attended a Welsh-medium school. We work with a number of Welsh-medium schools in South Wales who are looking for enthusiastic teaching assistants to join their school and support children through the medium of Welsh.

The schools we work with are eager to welcome proactive and friendly teaching assistants to the team depending on what youre looking for. You do not need exact classroom experience, however working with children would be beneficial.

A desirable Welsh speaking teaching assistant must have:

• Experience working with children
• Exceptional communication skills
• Empathetic and nurturing characteristics

The Welsh speaking teaching assistant role includes:

• Supporting the class teacher with work set out for the day
• Ensuring the classroom is tidy
• Delivering activities to small groups of children
• Offering support on a 1:1 basis
• Using your own initiative
• Developing literacy and numeracy skills through the medium of Welsh

Requirements for a Welsh speaking teaching assistant role:

• Enhanced DBS Check we can help process one for you
• Registered with the EWC we can help get you registered
• 2 years worth of professional references
• Fluency in the Welsh language
