Were now looking for experienced White Goods Engineers (Contractors) to work alongside our established engineering community and help us deliver on our British Gas Service Promise , including our commitment to same-day fixes wherever possible.

This is a great opportunity for skilled, customer-focused engineers who take pride in their work and want consistent, flexible contractor work with one of the UKs most recognised service brands.

The Role As a contractor White Goods Engineer supporting British Gas, youll attend customers homes to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of kitchen and white goods appliances .

Youll be trusted to work independently in the field, representing the British Gas brand in customers homes, while having access to strong operational, managerial and technical support when you need it.

Some repairs can be complex, so confidence, experience and a calm, professional approach are essential.

Typical appliances youll work on, will be Washing machines, Tumble dryers, Dishwashers, Refrigeration & Microwaves Why Work With British Gas? Consistent volumes of work with a trusted household name Competitive contractor rates - DOE Local work allocation where possible Structured job flow and scheduling support Access to technical guidance and field support when required Opportunity for ongoing, long-term contractor engagement What Were Looking For At least 2 years proven, hands-on experience repairing white goods appliances Broad technical knowledge across multiple appliance types Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability Excellent customer service skills you understand that how you fix matters as much as what you fix A commitment to safe working and first-time-fix outcomes Pride in your workmanship and professionalism in customers homes Contractor Essentials Self-employed / contractor status Your own tools and test equipment appropriate for white goods repair Full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle Relevant insurances (e.g.
