Role Profile
Are you looking for an exciting new challenge in 2025? Inverarity Morton is seeking an experienced Wine Development Manager to deliver growth by managing an established territory, leading with Wine but selling across our portfolio of products. In our 80th Year of trading, Inverarity Morton is ambitious, confident about the future, continues to grow, and needs great people to join us on the journey. Reporting to Jane Campbell, Key Account Director, we are inviting applications for a Wine Development Manager- Key Accounts.
Key Personal Skills
- Passionate about wines & spirits
- Proven track record of growing sales
- Ability to communicate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
- You will be a key ambassador for our business in promoting our fantastic wine story to the on-trade, engaging them with your passion, expertise, and credibility about all things wine.
Essential Experience
- Experience in a sales role, managing existing customers & developing new business
- Knowledge of wine and spirits.
- WSET qualifications are desirable, but a willingness to learn & develop is essential.
- Strong analytical skills to ensure you can analyse customer performance and identify trends and opportunities to drive profitability
- Planning and organisation skills to enable the execution of customer events to boost product knowledge and impact sales.
- IT competency with a strong working knowledge of Excel.
- Comfortable navigating CRM systems
- Using social media to remain connected and up to date with your customers and the industry.
Working environment
- Travel and nights away are part of the job
- Attendance at trade events and customer entertaining as and when required
- Working from home and out in the field so you will require accomplished time management and planning skills.
- A driving licence and the ability to travel is also essential
- Resilience under pressure and an ability to manage priorities in a role which isn’t ‘’9am-5pm’’
- Success measures
- Achieve volume and margin targets with both existing and new customer accounts
- Working in close partnership with the Commercial & Finance teams
- Selling the full range of our product portfolio while aiming to be wine-led in your approach
- Assist credit control in managing your customer debt and ensure debtor days are reduced.
