Winter Maintenance Driver

Berry Recruitment are currently hiring Winter Maintenance Drivers for a role based in Kinross.

Please note, a class 2 licence is required for this role.

Pay rate: £13.46 per hour, overtime rates available.
Start date: ASAP
End date: Initially a contract until end of April 2026 with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidates.
Shift time:
Rotational shifts, 1 week of days, 1 week of nights, 1 week "on call" (the order of these weeks can differ)

Day Shift: 39 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30, Friday 08:30 - 13:30
Night Shift: 39 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 18:00 - 02:30, Friday 18:00 - 01:30

When on call, the days scheduled as on call are decided by site, payment for these are as below:

£11 per day for a week day
£23 per day for a Saturday
£33 per day for a Sunday

The daily fee is paid regardless of if you are called out or not, but if you are called out you would also be paid for the hours worked whilst out on call.

Working days: Monday to Friday (overtime available)

Key responsibilities include:

Operate and maintain vehicles, including HGVs and small plant machinery, ensuring all checks and routine maintenance are complete.
Participate in winter and summer standby duties, including emergency callouts.
Safety is high on our agenda so ensuring the safety of yourself and the team is paramount
Keep accurate records and complete all necessary paperwork, maintaining communication and liaising with employees, sub-contractors, emergency services, police, clients, and customers.
When not driving, assisting with general tasks around the yard.What You'll Bring:

Hold a full UK Class 2 driving licence
Demonstrate an awareness to Health and Safety regulations, always ensuring compliance
Be self-motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team
