Position: Teaching Assistant (SEMH Primary Learning Level KS3)
Location: Wolverhampton
Contract Type: Full Time (term-time)
Working Hours: 08:30 15:30
Rate of Pay: GBP103.00 GBP120.00 per day

About the Role:
Are you confident, patient and passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We are working with a specialist provision in Wolverhampton supporting pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9 who are working at a primary learning level. Many pupils require additional behavioural support, emotional regulation strategies, and consistent adult guidance to help them engage with learning.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who may have experienced barriers to mainstream education and require a structured, nurturing approach.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs.
Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies.
Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons.
Build strong, positive relationships to promote trust and engagement.
Help maintain a calm, structured and safe learning environment.

Requirements:
Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs or SEND is desirable.
A resilient, patient and proactive approach.
Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learners.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for one
Provide two professional, child-related references covering the last two years
