Workshop Plant Fitter\nCroydon\n£45,000 basic\nVehicle (optional), 29 days holiday, overtime rate 1.5x, pension scheme and more\n\nOverview\nWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Workshop Plant Fitter to join our team. This role involves working on a wide range of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, and more. If you are passionate about machinery, have a strong technical background, and are looking for a rewarding career with excellent benefits, we encourage you to apply.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nConduct maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, and other equipment.\nDiagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.\nPerform inspections to ensure machinery is in optimal working condition and complies with safety standards.\nMaintain accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used and repairs completed.\nCollaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.\nAdhere to health and safety regulations at all times.\nProvide occasional support for field-based repairs when required.\nQualifications\n\nProven experience as a Plant Fitter or similar role, with expertise in working on plant machinery.\nStrong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.\nRelevant qualifications in plant maintenance or engineering are desirable.\nAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nStrong communication and teamwork abilities.\nA valid driving license is preferred.\nDay-to-Day\n\nWork a 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.\nPerform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on a variety of plant machinery.\nCollaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop.\nMaintain a clean and organized workspace.\nOccasionally assist with field-based repairs as needed.\nBenefits\n\nCompetitive basic salary ranging from £36,000 to £45,000, depending on experience.\nOvertime opportunities available at 1.5x the standard rate.\nGenerous holiday allowance of 29 days.\nCompany vehicle can be supplied if required.\nOpportunity to work with a diverse range of machinery and develop your skills further.\nSupportive and professional working environment.\nIf you are a motivated and experienced Workshop Plant Fitter looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you.
