The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the yard, ensuring materials are handled safely, customers are served efficiently, and stock is well organised.Key Responsibilities:Loading and unloading building materials using a forkliftServing trade and retail customers in the yardPicking and preparing orders accuratelyOrganising and maintaining stock levels and yard layoutCarrying out regular stock checksEnsuring the yard is clean, safe, and well presented at all timesFollowing all health and safety proceduresRequirements:Valid forklift licence (Counterbalance essential; other licences advantageous)Previous experience in a similar yard, warehouse, or builders merchants environment preferredGood knowledge of building materials (desirable but not essential)Strong work ethic and reliabilityGood communication and customer service skillsAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsPhysically fit and capable of manual handlingDesirable Skills:Experience working with trade customersBasic IT skills for stock systemsTeam player with a proactive attitudeWhat We Offer:Competitive salaryStable, full-time employmentOpportunities for training and progressionFriendly and supportive team environmentJBRP1_UKTJ
