Job Title: Yard Operative (Forklift Licence Required) Location: Tunbridge wells Job Type: Full-time / Permanent Salary: £30,000 Job Overview: We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Yard Operative to join our busy builders merchants team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the yard, ensuring materials are handled safely, customers are served efficiently, and stock is well organised. Key Responsibilities: Loading and unloading building materials using a forklift Serving trade and retail customers in the yard Picking and preparing orders accurately Organising and maintaining stock levels and yard layout Carrying out regular stock checks Ensuring the yard is clean, safe, and well presented at all times Following all health and safety procedures Requirements: Valid forklift licence (Counterbalance essential; other licences advantageous) Previous experience in a similar yard, warehouse, or builders merchants environment preferred Good knowledge of building materials (desirable but not essential) Strong work ethic and reliability Good communication ...
