Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a vibrant, one-form entry school in Birmingham to find a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team after the Easter break. The Role: As a Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for transitioning pupils from Reception into more formal learning. The school is looking for someone who can deliver engaging, phonics-rich lessons while maintaining a nurturing classroom environment. Full teaching responsibilities: Planning, marking, and assessment. Phonics focus: Leading daily sessions (Little Wandle/Read Write Inc experience is a plus). Collaborative planning: Working closely with the parallel Year 1 teacher to share resources and ideas. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Proven experience teaching in KS1 (Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply!). A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and Phonics screening requirements.
