A welcoming primary school in Lewisham is seeking a committed and experienced General Teaching Assistant to support between their Year 1 class from Monday 23rd February 2026 until the end of the academic year (July 2026).

About the Role

Supporting teaching and learning in a Year 1
Hours: 8.30am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Working closely with the class teacher to enhance learning, deliver small-group and 1:1 support, and assist with classroom routines
Contributing to pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
Providing adaptable support across core subjects where needed
Supported throughout the placement by Carly Walters, Remedy Recruitment Consultant with over 9 years' experience in the education recruitment sector.What We're Looking For

The school is seeking a confident, proactive, and experienced Teaching Assistant who will be a true asset to both the teacher and the class.

Essential qualities include:

Previous experience working as a TA in a primary setting
Strong understanding of KS1 learning and classroom expectations
Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils
A calm, friendly, and professional approach
