Salary: £37,868 – £56,154 per annum (MPS – Paid to scale)

Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary is applicable to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to M6.

About the Role

Teach-Now is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-established primary school in Ealing for a Year 2 Class Teacher. This full-time, temporary role begins on 30th March 2026.

The school is a supportive two-form entry setting with a strong community ethos and collaborative leadership team. Year 2 is a key stage in pupils’ development, and the successful candidate will play an important role in securing strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and independent learning while preparing pupils for Key Stage 2.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, applicants must have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Experience teaching KS1 (ideally Year 2)

• Strong knowledge of phonics and KS1 assessment

• Secure understanding of the National Curriculum

• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills

• ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Year 2 lessons in line with the National Curriculum

• Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly

• Prepare pupils for end-of-Key-Stage expectations

• Differentiate to support SEND and EAL learners

• Work collaboratively with TAs, colleagues, and senior leaders

• Maintain high standards of safeguarding and behaviour
