Year 2 Teacher

This Primary School, conveniently located close to the local train station in Chelmsford, is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis starting shortly after the Easter break. The school is looking to meet suitable candidates as soon as possible.

Role Overview

Position: Year 2 Teacher Location: Chelmsford (easy access via train links) Start Date: After Easter (interviews taking place ASAP) Contract: Maternity cover Working Pattern: 3-4 days per week (4 days preferred) Pay: £130-£185 per day Full teaching responsibilities included (planning, marking, assessments, parents' evenings, staff meetings and reports) PPA time allocated in line with a 4-day timetable Free on-site parking availableAbout the School

The Ideal Candidate

The school is seeking a teacher who:

Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience desirable) Is confident managing full classroom responsibilities Builds strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues Maintains high expectations and a nurturing classroom ethos Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)This role would suit either an experienced teacher looking for a flexible working pattern or a confident ECT ready to take on class responsibility within a supportive structure.
