A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camden is seeking a Year 2 teacher to join the team from February 2026 (after half term). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys guiding independent learners, building strong relationships and creating a positive classroom culture.
Role: Year 2 Teacher
Start Date: February 2026 (after half term)
Location: Camden, Inner London
Contract: Full Time - February to July (possibility of extension)
Salary: Inner London MPS3 - MPS6
Responsibilities
As the Year 2 teacher , plan and deliver engaging lessons that support progress
Inspire pupils through clear routines, positive reinforcement and structured expectations
Use assessment to identify next steps for learning and support pupils of all abilities
Build positive partnerships with families and work collaboratively with colleagues
Contribute to consistent standards and pupil development across the school
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Year 2 classes or within KS1
Strong understanding of phonics and early reading development
Able to build a fair, respectful and encouraging learning environment
Committed to consistent communication and professional collaboration
