Year 2 Teacher Folkestone

Academics Canterbury are recruiting a nurturing and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Folkestone. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting pupils through the end of KS1 and preparing them for a smooth transition into KS2.

The role as a Year 2 Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and structured lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum

  • Support pupils in phonics, reading, writing, and maths

  • Prepare pupils confidently for end of KS1 assessments

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents


Requirements of a Year 2 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - ECTs welcome

  • Previous UK classroom experience

  • Strong KS1 curriculum knowledge

  • Effective behaviour management

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

  • Right to work in the UK - visa sponsorship is not available
