Plan, prepare, and deliver effective and engaging lessons aligned with the Year 3 curriculum.
*
Use varied, innovative teaching approaches to motivate and challenge pupils.

Maintain high expectations for attainment, progress, and behaviour.
*
Create a classroom environment that promotes independence, creativity, and a love of learning.
*
Differentiate learning to support pupils of all abilities, including SEND, EAL, and high achievers.

Provide timely, purposeful feedback to support pupils’ development.
Assessment & Record Keeping
*
Assess learning regularly using both formative and summative approaches.
*
Track pupil progress accurately and use data to inform planning.
*
Prepare reports and deliver updates to parents, carers, and school leaders as required.
*
Contribute to moderation processes within year or phase teams.
Behaviour & Classroom Management
*
Establish a calm, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
*
Apply the partner school’s behaviour policies consistently and effectively.
*
Ensure resources are well-organised and pupils take responsibility for their learning spaces.
Collaboration & Professional Conduct
*
Work closely with year-group and whole-school teams to plan, share ideas, and improve practice.

Support teaching assistants and additional adults in delivering high-quality learning opportunities.

Engage fully in professional development and performance review processes.

Contribute to school life, including enrichment activities, events, and extracurricular learning.
4. Person Specification
Qualifications & Training
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential).
*
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
*
Evidence of recent, relevant professional development (desirable).
Experience
*
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally within Year 3.
*
Proven ability to support children with a range of needs, including SEND and EAL.
*
Experience delivering strong pupil outcomes through effective teaching and assessment.
Skills & Knowledge
*
Strong knowledge of the Year 3 curriculum and Primary Frameworks.
*
Ability to plan creatively to engage and inspire learners.
*
Effective behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
*
Confident use of assessment to improve learning.
*
Competent use of ICT for teaching and administrative tasks
