Monarch Education is supporting a primary school in Solihull to appoint a Year 5 Teacher. The school is looking for a teacher who can confidently lead a Year 5 class and deliver strong teaching across Upper Key Stage 2.

About the Role

This role is specifically focused on Year 5 teaching and requires someone confident with Upper KS2 expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering lessons that meet Year 5 curriculum requirements
Preparing pupils for the transition into Year 6, including building key skills in reading, writing, and maths
Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to support different learning needs
Supporting pupils with increasing independence and responsibility in their learning
Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently
Working with the Year 5/6 team on planning, assessments, and moderation
Communicating with parents and carers about progress, behaviour, and learning
Contributing to wider school activities, meetings, and duties

What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 5
Strong understanding of the Upper KS2 curriculum and expectations
Ability to support pupils with core skills and developing confidence
Clear communication, good organisation, and consistent classroom management
