Full Time Year 5/6 Teacher - Salisbury

We are working with a friendly and supportive primary school in Salisbury who are looking for a Year 5/6 Teacher to join them full-time. Starting ASAP, this role will run until the end of the academic year, with the potential to continue for the right candidate.

Planning responsibilities are required as part of the role and therefore pay will be to scale.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, deliver and assess engaging KS2 lessons across Years 5 - 6

* Teach across core subjects (English, Maths, Science) and deliver the wider curriculum (History, Geography, Art, DT, Computing, PE, Music, RE, MFL as appropriate)

* Prepare students for end-of-key-stage assessments (KS2 SATs) and support progression to the next stage of their education (long-term contracts only)

* Set high expectations for progress in literacy, numeracy, writing, reading comprehension, and maths problem-solving

* Use a range of resources and teaching strategies to cater for diverse learning needs and different ability levels

* Mark work and provide constructive feedback to support student progress

* Manage pupil behaviour in line with each school's behaviour policy

* Contribute positively to the KS2/Primary department and wider school community; support or lead after-school clubs, reading interventions, and school events (long-term contracts)

Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

* Experience teaching KS2 at primary level (Years 3-6)

* Strong subject knowledge across English, Mathematics and Science, plus familiarity with the Primary National Curriculum

* Confident practitioner with excellent behaviour management skills

* Experience delivering a broad KS2 curriculum and supporting SATs preparation

* Experience supporting students with SEND in a primary context

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

* Right to work in the UK

Desirable

* Experience teaching upper KS2 (Year 5-6) with a focus on SATs readiness

* Familiarity with primary assessment frameworks and interim assessments

* Experience working across multiple school settings
