A 2-form entry primary school in Northolt is urgently seeking a strong, experienced Year 6 teacher to start as soon as possible. This role has arisen due to the current Year 6 teacher being signed off sick, and the school is looking for someone who can step in confidently and maintain the high standards already in place.

This is a well-organised, mainstream primary school with clear systems, supportive leadership and a committed KS2 team. Year 6 is a priority year group and the school is looking for a teacher who understands the pressures of SATs and can provide calm, consistent teaching in the run-up to assessments.

The Role

Full-time Year 6 class teacher role starting ASAP

Responsibility for preparing pupils for KS2 SATs

Delivering structured, high-quality lessons in line with the curriculum

Maintaining strong behaviour routines and high expectations

Working closely with SLT and the parallel Year 6 teacher to ensure continuity

Full class responsibilities including planning, assessment, meetings and parents' communication

2-form entry mainstream primary school

Located in Northolt, with good local transport links

Experienced and supportive senior leadership team

Clear behaviour policies that are consistently followed

Strong track record of good SATs outcomes

Well-established routines in Year 6 that need maintaining rather than rebuilding

The Ideal Candidate

Proven experience teaching Year 6

Strong understanding of SATs preparation and assessment frameworks

Confident behaviour management skills

Calm, resilient and organised under pressure

Able to hit the ground running and provide stability for pupils

QTS required

This role is not suitable for ECTs due to the demands of the year group

This is a key appointment for the school, and they are keen to move quickly to secure the right person who can support pupils through an important final term of primary school.
