SANZA Teaching Agency are working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking independent primary school in Islington to recruit an experienced Year 6 Teacher for a full academic year maternity cover starting September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and creative school community that delivers a rich, engaging curriculum, enabling pupils to flourish both academically and personally.

The Role:

• Start Date: September 2026
• Contract: 1 Year Maternity Cover
• Pay: Inner London M1-M6 (£206.75-£268.21 per day PAYE)
• Full teaching responsibility for a Year 6 class
• Hours: full-time 08:30pm to 4:30pm Monday to Friday
• Small class

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have strong KS2 experience, ideally within Year 6
• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Confidently prepare pupils for end-of-year expectations
• 11 Plus and SATs knowledge
• Use assessment effectively to track progress and raise attainment
• Provide excellent pastoral support with empathy and high expectations
• Thrive as a collaborative and reflective practitioner within Upper KS2
• Maintain strong behaviour management and a culture of achievement

This role would suit an experienced Year 6 Teacher or an ambitious Upper KS2 Class Teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in a well-supported and inspiring environment.
