Job Title: Youth Mentor (Trafford) Location: Trafford Pay Rate: GBP25 per hour (starting rate) Job Type: Temporary | Part-Time | 20 hours per week Start Date: March 2026 We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Youth Mentor to support young people in Trafford, helping them navigate personal, social, and academic challenges. As a Youth Mentor, youll provide one-to-one support to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, fostering personal growth and resilience. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one mentoring for young people, offering emotional support and guidance.
Help students develop key life skills, build confidence, and improve their social and emotional wellbeing. Support students with setting personal goals and creating action plans to achieve them. Assist with academic support, particularly in English and Maths, where needed.
Build positive relationships and act as a positive role model. Regularly report on progress to parents/carers and other professionals. Essential Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience working with young people, particularly in a mentoring or support role.
Experience working with students with SEMH or additional needs. Right to work in the UK. Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in a similar role, supporting young people facing academic or personal challenges. Qualification in Youth Work, Social Care, or a related field.
