About the Role
We are seeking a professional, confident, and assertive Environmental Health Officer on behalf of our client to join their team on a short-term contract. This role involves working within a local authority setting, delivering high-quality services to protect public health and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Take enforcement action in accordance with Trading Standards and Environmental Protection legislation. Instigate legal proceedings and statutory enforcement where appropriate. Communicate effectively with members of the public, stakeholders, colleagues, and external agencies. Demonstrate awareness of equalities and diversity issues in service delivery. Apply negotiation skills and a practical approach to problem-solving. Maintain a commitment to customer care and professional standards.
Essential Requirements
Education: Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C or equivalent). Driving Licence: Full UK licence with business insurance (ideally). IT Skills: Competent in using information technology systems.
