Account Executive
Account Executive play a key role in managing and developing client relationships, delivering insurance solutions, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The role requires strong knowledge of insurance products, risk management, and excellent communication skills.
You will manage and grow your own portfolio of clients while working closely with Account Handlers and other Directors to meet client needs and support business growth.
Client Management & Business Development
- Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
- Analyse client insurance needs and recommend appropriate cover.
- Build strong client relationships through regular contact and meetings.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and generate referrals.
- Ensure the Demands & Needs process is followed and support cross-selling opportunities (e.g., D&O, Cyber).
Policy & Risk Management
- Review policies to ensure they meet client requirements.
- Manage renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
- Conduct risk assessments and advise on coverage or mitigation.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure regulatory compliance (FCA, GDPR).
Customer Service
- Respond to client queries promptly and professionally.
- Liaise with insurers to resolve issues and manage claims.
- Build relationships with partners, clients, and suppliers.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in a similar Account Executive/Director role in commercial insurance.
- Proven ability to retain and grow client portfolios and generate new business.
- Experience working directly with insurers and placement teams.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills.
