An established, owner-managed professional property company based in Harrogate is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their friendly and collaborative team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a growing business. Youll work closely with the Directors and external Auditors, manage one direct report, and contribute to improving financial processes across the organisation.
This is a full-time position offering hybrid working (one day per week from home). Slightly reduced hours can also be considered for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day bookkeeping
- Bank reconciliations
- Processing and paying invoices
- Chasing customer payments
- Submitting quarterly VAT returns
- Implementing new finance processes and procedures to improve efficiency
- Liaising with external auditors (who manage payroll, year-end accounts and tax)
Requirements
- Previous accountancy experience within an SME
- Strong IT skills (experience with Xero highly desirable)
- Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
- Team player with a collaborative approach xbpsjku
Working Hours & Benefits
- 9:00am 5:30pm (1-hour lunch)
- Reduced hours considered
- One day per week working from home
