An established, owner-managed professional property company based in Harrogate is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their friendly and collaborative team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a growing business. Youll work closely with the Directors and external Auditors, manage one direct report, and contribute to improving financial processes across the organisation. This is a full-time position offering hybrid working (one day per week from home). Slightly reduced hours can also be considered for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Day-to-day bookkeeping Bank reconciliations Processing and paying invoices Chasing customer payments Submitting quarterly VAT returns Implementing new finance processes and procedures to improve efficiency Liaising with external auditors (who manage payroll, year-end accounts and tax) Requirements Previous accountancy experience within an SME Strong IT skills (experience with Xero highly desirable) Ability to work independently and use your own initiative Team player with a collaborative approach xehkeey Working Hours & Benefits 9:00am 5:30pm (1-hour lunch) Reduced hours considered One day per week working from home On-site parking Critical health cover If youre looking for a varied and hands-on role within a supportive environment where your input will make a real impact, this could be the role for you.
