Accounts Assistant for Leading Engineering Firm in Stone -Are you ready to elevate your career in finance? Key Responsibilities as Accounts Assistant: - Accounts Payable: Match invoices with purchase orders, input supplier invoices and credit notes, complete supplier statement reconciliations, and resolve queries. - Accounts Receivable: Support and cover all AR tasks, maintain Excel cashbooks. - Reporting: Produce and distribute internal reports as required. - Month End Close: Create and post standard journal entries, support the team to meet corporate deadlines. - Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Complete in line with corporate policy. - Administrative Support: Assist the finance team with ad hoc duties.
Ideal Candidate Profile: - Professional Certification: Working towards AAT is advantageous but not essential. - Experience: Proven experience in an Accounts Assistant role or similar within a highly transactional finance team. - Skills: Strong attention to detail, logical problem-solving, and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. - Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, confident in dealing with stakeholders and senior management. - Organisation: Ability to prioritise, multitask, and maintain accuracy amidst interruptions. - Team Player: Capable of working independently and as part of a small team. - IT Proficiency: High level of IT literacy, particularly in Excel. - Attitude: A can-do approach and meticulous attention to detail.
