Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Redditch
Salary: from £30,000 - £33,000 depending on experience
Job Type : Permanent: Full Time or Part Time option available (near to 30hours)
Hours: Monday Friday 9am 5pm
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and friendly business seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone hands-on, organised, and confident managing day-to-day accounting processes.
The Role
You will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end processes. The role offers variety and the chance to take ownership of core accounting duties, with additional responsibilities depending on workload capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Managing purchase ledger and sales ledger activities
Performing bank reconciliations
Preparing and submitting VAT returns
Supporting month-end accounting processes
Assisting with credit control
Sourcing cost-effective utility suppliers
Stationery ordering and office supply management
Experience Required
Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience with Sage 50
Strong understanding of purchase and sales ledger functions
Experience with bank reconciliations and VAT submissions
Exposure to month-end processes
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage priorities
