Agile Coach - Data and Analytics | 6 Month Contract | (Outside IR35) | Hybrid, Edinburgh| Starting ASAP Day Rate: £550About the Role:Harvey Nash's Pub Sec client are looking for an experienced Agile Coach to work with multiple parts of the Data & Analytics function, helping them find new ways of working and collaborating, while also supporting delivery and providing facilitation. Data & Analytics is one of the parts of the DDaT (Digital, Data and Technology) directorate, alongside Engineering, IT Enablement, Product/BA/Agile and User-Centred Design. Data & Analytics comprises: Data Science; Data & AI Products; Data Engineering; GIS; Business Intelligence and Analytics; and Quality & Data Improvement. The use of data & AI products in the organisation sits under Data & Analytics. The area has been going through a period of rapid growth and change.Main Duties:Support for the delivery of Data and AI Products, working with Data Science and Data EngineeringCoaching and delivery support, working with the Senior Product Manager for Data & AI ProductsEstablishing and coaching to improve Agile ways of working across Data & AnalyticsWork with Data & Analytics leadership to drive change on key strategic initiatives, ensuring challenges are well defined, scoped, prioritised and actionedPlanning and facilitation support for across Data & AnalyticsCoaching to guide the teams in Data & Analytics through a period of growth and change, and to help them collaborate as their Data & AI Strategy is defined and then implementedWorking with the Data Science team to develop and embed Agile working as they grow, e.g. designing a new Jira board, establishing team ways of working, suitable cadence of Agile meetings and a data science delivery model that facilitates collaboration with software development teamsWorking with teams across Data & Analytics to help them deliver multiple products and services to ensure value is realised in line with roadmapsWorking with leads on our Data & AI Champions Network to grow capability, adoption and usage of AI (primarily Copilot) organisation wideEssential Skills & Experience:Agile experienceDeep understanding of different Agile concepts and techniquesExperience and evidence of embedding Agile practices in different kinds of teams, not just product teamsAbility to use the most relevant practicesKnowledge and understanding of Agile product (software) developmentAbility to drive continuous improvement even in high-performing teamsDigital and service experienceAn understanding of good digital and data service delivery designExperience of working with teams building digital, data and AI products and servicesExperience of different industries (public-sector experience is desirable but not essential)Experience, understanding and appetite for working with data and AI-led initiativesCultural fitAbility to work as part of a team, collaborating and sharing knowledge and decision makingBeing framework agnostic, using the right practices for the contextWilling and confident to be a leading voice in suggesting improvements to how we workThis role has been deemed Outside IR35 by the client.
