Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Architectural Assistant (Part 2) or an experienced Architectural Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a creative individual with strong technical skills, ready to contribute to a range of exciting projects from concept design through to construction. You will work closely with our Senior Architects and project teams, gaining invaluable experience across all RIBA stages of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing high-quality drawing packages, including planning applications, tender packages, and construction drawings.
  • Developing detailed designs and technical information using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Creating 3D models and visualisations using SketchUp, V-Ray, or Enscape.
  • Assisting with the preparation of design and access statements and other project documentation.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with UK Building Regulations and other relevant standards.
  • Contributing to design team meetings and project coordination.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A recognised architectural qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience within a UK-based architectural practice.
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
  • Strong design sensibility and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working on high-end residential or commercial projects.
  • Proficiency in 3D visualisation software such as SketchUp, V-Ray, Lumion, or Enscape.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop).
  • A solid understanding of UK planning processes and Building Regulations.
  • Experience in producing construction detailing and technical drawings for tender.
