OverviewWe\'re looking for a driven and commercially focused Area Sales Manager to join a growing FMCG food business operating within a specialist and culturally rich category. This is a fantastic opportunity for a field-based sales professional who thrives on autonomy, enjoys building long-term customer relationships, and knows how to turn insight into profitable action. As Area Sales Manager, you\'ll take full ownership of an agreed customer portfolio, delivering sales, profit, and distribution targets while professionally representing the business at all times.ResponsibilitiesManaging and growing a defined portfolio of customersSelling products at agreed prices and trading termsDelivering sales value, volume, and profit targetsNegotiating and executing promotions within agreed budgetsEnsuring customer payments are collected within agreed termsIdentifying new product and customer opportunitiesManaging promotional activity and analysing resultsMaintaining accurate forecasts in collaboration with your Line ManagerMonitoring competitor and market activityProducing clear monthly reports covering activity, results, and market insightWorking closely with Marketing and Trade Marketing teams to deliver strong category solutionsYou\'ll also attend trade shows, collaborate cross-functionally, and support colleagues where requiredHow success is measuredAchievement of sales value and profit targetsGrowth in distributionCustomer payment performance (debtor days)Accurate reporting and record maintenanceYou\'ll work closely with:Collaborative rolesField sales colleagues and Line ManagerMarketing, Supply Chain, Distribution, Transport, and Accounts teamsCustomers, business owners, and external agenciesWorking EnvironmentField-based roleStandard working hours, with flexibility when requiredTravel to customer sites and company locations as neededCompany-issued equipment providedQualifications & SkillsMinimum GCSEs (A-C) in Maths and EnglishAt least 2 years\' FMCG sales experience (Food & Drink preferred)Good working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeUnderstanding of UK distribution and route-to-market modelsAn excellent communicator (written and verbal)Strong with numbers and dataProactive, reliable, and commercially astuteA team player with strong interpersonal skillsAreaArea Sales Manager FMCG - Food & Drin k | Field-Based Role - North, East and West London up to £38,000 plus package (car allowance & bonus scheme) #J-18808-Ljbffr
