About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join a leading material handling solutions provider, specialising in forklifts and warehouse trucks. This is a high-profile, B2B sales role offering a competitive salary, commission, and career progression within a market-leading organisation.

You will be responsible for selling and promoting the full product range of material handling equipment across your local sales territory while delivering exceptional customer service to a diverse range of industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing customers, understanding their current and future equipment requirements

  • New Business Development: Identify and develop target accounts, converting prospects into loyal customers

  • Site Surveys & Specification: Conduct detailed site visits to assess requirements and recommend the most suitable equipment solutions

  • Proposal & Presentation: Prepare comprehensive proposals and present solutions professionally to decision-makers

  • Sales Administration: Manage all aspects of truck order administration and maintain accurate records within the CRM system

  • Customer Service: Ensure a high standard of service and support throughout the sales process

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, commercially aware sales professional with a strong track record in field-based B2B sales, ideally within material handling, industrial equipment, or capital goods sectors.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Proven success in sales of forklifts, warehouse trucks, or MHE solutions

  • Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of business priorities

  • Professional communication and presentation skills with attention to detail

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build compelling business cases

  • Effective planning, organisation, and territory management

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Full UK driving licence
