About the School

Due to the continued growth of our provision, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our experienced and supportive team.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health needs
Work 1:1 and with small groups to deliver targeted interventions
Support pupils within the classroom and within our specialist SEN provision
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
Work closely with class teachers, the SENCo and external professionals
Contribute to EHCP targets and pupil progress reviews
Essential Requirements
Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in a primary setting
Understanding of inclusive practice and adaptive learning strategies
Knowledge of behaviour support approaches
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Patience, resilience and a nurturing approach
Commitment to safeguarding and child wellbeing
Desirable
Experience working in a specialist provision or resource base
Training in autism strategies, speech and language interventions, or Team Teach
Experience supporting pupils with EHCPs
