ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER – FLAGSHIP HOSPITALITY VENUE | CENTRAL LONDON


An internationally renowned hospitality group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to support the leadership team at a newly launched, high-end dining destination located within a luxury hotel in Central London.


This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in a flagship UK venue for a prestigious global operator. The successful candidate will bring strong operational acumen, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for exceptional service, supporting the General Manager in driving both team and business performance.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of a premium hospitality venue
  • Support strategic planning and execution across front-of-house and back-of-house functions
  • Lead and mentor front-of-house managers and supervisors to maintain high standards of service
  • Help implement service enhancements and operational initiatives to elevate the guest experience
  • Oversee compliance with health & safety, licensing, and hygiene standards
  • Monitor KPIs, labour costs, and budgets, and help drive profitability through efficient practices
  • Play a key role in team recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training initiatives
  • Act as a senior point of contact on the floor, ensuring smooth service during peak hours
  • Step in for the General Manager as needed, demonstrating confidence and leadership under pressure


IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • 2–3+ years of experience in a senior supervisory or Assistant General Manager role within a premium hospitality or restaurant setting
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a hands-on and proactive approach
  • Exposure to high-volume, guest-focused environments; luxury or destination dining a plus
  • Experience supporting new openings or re-branding projects is highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of financials, cost controls, and operational reporting
  • Organised, adaptable, and committed to delivering consistent excellence
  • Relevant qualifications in Hospitality, Business, or a related field are advantageous
