We have a number of exciting opportunities for Associate Director level Project Controls professionals to help deliver across a range of major infrastructure projects and programmes in London and the South East. Owing to the complex nature of the works involved, these roles will suit Project Controls specialists with proven backgrounds and experience in sectors such as rail, aviation, power, water/utilities, highways or defence. Responsibilities
Deliver project controls services, taking responsibility for end‑to‑end service delivery for large, complex and mega projects and managing the establishment of overall success criteria, including time, cost and performance parameters. Implement effective project governance, processes and systems throughout the project lifecycle. Lead and facilitate inputs from cross‑functional project controls teams in a matrix environment. Maintain the risk register to evaluate and assess all risk components and variations related to performance objectives. Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including the use of KPIs to improve project performance. Manage change control processes as required, monitoring and advising on project finances. Manage the flow of project information within the project team. Act as the key day‑to‑day project team interface, ensuring client objectives are met and projects are delivered within time and cost targets and to the appropriate quality standards. Support the centre of expertise in developing and implementing PMO project controls services. Ensure projects are managed to the right quality standards and completed efficiently, on time and to budget. Guarantee that project controls delivery meets the client’s objectives and is in line with the conditions of appointment.
Qualifications
Relevant technical degree and management qualifications. Professional experience undertaking project control roles for the development and/or delivery of construction projects. Experience working within planning & scheduling and cost management. Experience of risk management, change control, information management and reporting within complex projects, and integration of the same. Working knowledge of proprietary cost management systems such as Prism and Unifier. Ability to manage and mentor a team of specialists, enabling strong training and development for junior staff members. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6.
