We are working in partnership with a leading international law firm to recruit an Associate into its Commercial Disputes team in Manchester.

This is a strong opportunity to join a highly regarded and collaborative disputes practice with a national and cross-border focus, advising on a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters.

The successful candidate will work closely with partners and colleagues across multiple offices, supporting clients on both domestic and international disputes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Advising on and representing clients in commercial disputes through litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution
• Handling a wide range of matters including contractual disputes, public law issues (including judicial review and procurement), professional negligence, injunctions, reputation management and contentious insolvency
• Managing a caseload with appropriate supervision
• Supporting on complex, high-value disputes
• Building and maintaining strong client and intermediary relationships
• Contributing to business development initiatives, including seminars and client events
• Managing files, time and billing efficiently

Applicants should be qualified solicitors with a minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience and a solid background in commercial disputes. Experience in insolvency-related disputes would be advantageous but is not essential.

You will demonstrate strong technical capability, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage matters with increasing independence, alongside a proactive and collaborative approach.
