A growing independent accountancy practice in Northampton is looking to recruit an Audit & Accounts Manager or Assistant Manager to join its team.

This is a genuinely flexible firm with a strong reputation locally, offering a mix of audit and accounts work alongside real involvement with clients. It would suit someone who enjoys working in a smaller, collaborative environment where you can take ownership of your work and be part of the firms ongoing development.

• Salary in the region of £45K £55K depending on level

• Manage a varied portfolio of audit and accounts clients, primarily owner-managed businesses
• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion and review
• Review statutory accounts and support clients with commercial insight where needed
• Act as a main point of contact for clients, building and maintaining relationships
• Support and develop junior members of the team
• Contribute to client retention and wider business development activity

• ACA or ACCA qualified with experience in UK accountancy practice
• Confident managing audit assignments and reviewing accounts
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients
• Organised and able to manage your own workload effectively
• Keen to progress and take on more responsibility over time
• Suited to a smaller firm environment where you can be hands-on
