Auto Electrician

Location: Dorking
Department: Assembly
Hours: 39 per week

  • MondayThursday: 7:30am-4:00pm
  • Friday: 7:30am3:00pm
    ( hour unpaid lunch)

Hourly Rate: £15.63-£16.32 (depending on skills and experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Assembly Fitter / Auto Electrician to join our Assembly Department. This is a hands-on role working on specialist vehicles, including electrical installations and diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose electrical issues using electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Modify and install electrical harnesses and wiring looms.
  • Install interior electrics (GPS, camera systems, etc.).
  • Fit high-voltage batteries into electric Vehicles
  • Conduct fault-finding and diagnostic work on specialist vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with safety standards.
  • Contribute to a clean, safe working environment.

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous fitting experience (desirable)
  • Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical circuits (desirable)
  • Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or similar (desirable)
  • Clean driving licence / LGV (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
