The Role
As a Bartender at MA/NA, you will be part of a team delivering an elevated bar experience rooted in precision, balance and hospitality. You will prepare and serve drinks with care and consistency, while engaging guests through thoughtful service and storytelling.
Working alongside the Bar Manager and wider beverage team, you will help bring the MA/NA philosophy to life where technique, emotion and timing come together to create memorable moments.
This role is ideal for someone who values discipline, curiosity and connection, and understands that even a simple drink can carry meaning.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wine and sake to the highest standard
Follow bar recipes and service standards with accuracy and consistency
Support the cocktail menu and seasonal changes as directed by the bar leadership team
Engage guests with warm, attentive and knowledgeable service
Maintain excellent cleanliness, organisation and presentation behind the bar
Assist with daily prep, stock rotation and bar set-up and close-down
Work closely with the restaurant team to ensure smooth service flow between bar and dining room
Uphold MA/NAs service ethos and attention to detail at all times
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience as a bartender in a quality restaurant or cocktail bar
Good understanding of classic cocktails and modern techniques
Interest in Japanese ingredients, spirits and bar culture
Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
Calm, professional and positive under pressure
Clear communicator with a natural sense of hospitality
Desire to grow, learn and contribute to an exciting new opening
