SANZA Teaching Agency are seeking a behaviour mentor for a wonderful, small independent school in Barking & Dagenham. The school provides therapeutic and personalised education for students unable to attend mainstream school due to Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

You will be supporting students with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom, providing 1:1 and small-group mentoring focused on behaviour, emotional regulation and social development
You must have a solid understanding of restorative practice and trauma-informed approaches to de-escalate and re-engage students
Previous experience as a behaviour mentor/teaching assistant in a SEMH/PRU setting is essential
You will need to be able to teach strategies for self-control, resilience, and conflict resolution
You must be able to help students understand emotions, triggers, and consequences of actions
