About the Role

We’re looking for an ambitious Sales Development Executive to supercharge the presence of audience-facing display advertising and advertorial content across our 3 main drinks subscription magazines Ferment (beer), Glug (wine), and Stramash ( whisky). You’ll identify, pitch and win display advertising deals from leading global and on-trend brands, as well as editorial tourism content promoting geographically relevant regions. You’ll enjoy a balance of autonomy, hands-on commercial ownership and strategic impact.


Key Responsibilities 

  • Identify, prospect, and pitch advertising opportunities to brands & tourist boards across magazines, digital channels, and events.
  • Own the full sales lifecycle: from lead generation and proposal development to negotiation, closing, and post-sale relationship management.
  • Build and maintain a strong B2B sales pipeline, ensuring at least 5x coverage of quarterly revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (design, editorial, production) to ensure media campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and meet client expectations.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to promote our media products and advertising solutions.
  • Identify and develop innovative commercial partnership opportunities across Beer52, including Ferment, Glug & Stramash magazines, collaborating with like-minded brands to drive revenue, increase visibility, and support overall business growth.


About You:

  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in advertising/brand partnerships or within food, beverage, or FMCG sectors.
  • Experienced in pitching and selling media space, preferably in magazines or digital publications.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment with shifting priorities.
  • Excellent relationship-builder with strong interpersonal and presentation skills; able to influence key decision makers.
  • Comfortable using modern CRM tools (e.g., Hubspot) to manage structured sales funnels.
  • Multilingual candidates (Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.) are a plus, but not essential.
  • Passion for media, publishing, or lifestyle brands is desirable.
  • Ideally based in Edinburgh or London.
