This is a role for someone who enjoys opening doors, uncovering commercial challenges, and building tailored solutions that deliver real value for clients and long-term revenue for the business.

Proactively identifying, targeting and winning new B2B clients across assigned sectors Generating your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals and events Leading consultative sales conversations focused on client objectives, challenges and outcomes Creating tailored proposals and commercial solutions aligned to client needs Owning the full sales cycle from first conversation through to contract close Developing and growing existing accounts to maximise repeat business and lifetime value What you’ll bring to the table as a Business Development Manager You don’t need prior events, exhibitions or conventions experience, but you do need:

Proven success generating and closing new B2B business in a sales or business development role Previous experience achieving or exceeding revenue targets and commercial KPIs Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at senior level Commercial awareness and confidence balancing client value with profitability Experience managing pipelines, forecasting sales and maintaining accurate CRM records Working hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, with hybrid working arrangements. You will be working between NEC at Marston Green AND ICC in Birmingham City Centre.
