My client is a specialist sheet metal fabrication business supplying bespoke metalwork to the retail and shopfitting industry. As part of their ongoing growth strategy, they are expanding their commercial team and are seeking an additional Business Development Manager to support and accelerate new business development.
The Role:
This is a new business–focused growth role responsible for identifying opportunities, opening new accounts, and owning the full sales cycle from first contact through to deal closure. You will target shopfitters, contractors, designers, and retail brands, helping to increase market share and strengthen our position as a preferred fabrication partner.
Responsibilities:
Proactively generate and convert new business opportunities Identify and target new customers within the retail and shopfitting sector Manage the sales process end-to-end, including negotiation and closing Build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities Work closely with estimating and production teams to support bids Develop long-term relationships with newly won accounts
The Candidate:
Proven hunter-style B2B sales experience, consistently winning new business Background in manufacturing, fabrication, shopfitting, or a related sector Confident closing complex or project-based deals Strong communication, negotiation, and prospecting skills Self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven Full UK driving licence Benefits:
