A growing engineering and manufacturing group is expanding its commercial team to support ongoing business growth across multiple global locations. The organisation operates across a wide range of industrial sectors, delivering specialised products and technical solutions.

The role is responsible for managing procurement activities and overseeing inventory control functions within a UK-based operation. This position focuses on ensuring efficient sourcing, supplier performance, cost control, and stock optimisation to support both project delivery and wider business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Source and procure materials, components, and services in line with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders for purchasing processes and project activities.
Analyse spending patterns and contribute to cost reduction initiatives.
Negotiate supplier agreements to achieve favourable pricing and terms.
Identify and evaluate new suppliers and components.

Experience & Qualifications

Relevant qualification in engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or project coordination within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Awareness of quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards).
