Care Home Chef Location: Altrincham, Greater Manchester Pay: £15 per hour Type: Permanent Shift: Days Important: Sponsorship is not available for this role. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
About the Role A care home in Altrincham is seeking an experienced Chef to plan and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals for residents. You will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, stock control, and maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety. This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisational skills, creativity, and the ability to lead and motivate a small kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and prepare daily menus that meet residents’ nutritional needs and preferences Produce meals that are appetising, visually appealing, and cost-effective Monitor food stock levels and order supplies as required Maintain accurate records of food orders and inventory Ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served safely and hygienically Train and supervise kitchen staff Implement and maintain health and safety procedures, including food handling standards Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, including regular deep cleaning Build positive relationships with residents and respond to feedbackSkills and Experience
