The Opportunity

Fraser Edwards are currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter Multi-Skilled Operative to join a well-established Social Housing contractor on a fixed term contract.

This role will sit within the Responsive Repairs & Maintenance team, delivering day-to-day property repairs across social housing homes in Stratford-upon-Avon and the surrounding areas. Regular travel across the patch is required.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Completing carpentry and basic plumbing repairs in occupied social housing properties
• Undertaking responsive maintenance work to agreed specifications and timescales
• Identifying and reporting the need for additional trade support to the Supervisor
• Working collaboratively with other operatives to deliver works efficiently
• Ordering and managing materials to ensure jobs are completed effectively
• Accurately recording job progress, completion details and materials using PDA systems
• Providing a professional, courteous service to tenants and client representatives
• Ensuring full compliance with safeguarding, health & safety and road risk policies
• Maintaining a strong focus on quality, productivity and first-time fix

Essential Requirements:

• NVQ / City & Guilds qualification in Carpentry or proven experience within the trade
• Strong multi-skilled background, including basic plumbing
• Full UK driving licence (maximum 5 points)
• No driving bans within the last 5 years
• Ability to pass a basic DBS check

Desirable:
• Previous experience working within social housing
