The successful Candidate will be undertaking Setting and Operating Manual Lathes.

It is envisioned that the successful candidate will come from a background in Manual Machining with a strong level of turning experience, have completed a Mechanical apprenticeship and be based within a commutable distance of Sheffield.

Centre Lathe Turner Job Overview Set and operate Manual Lathes Calculator dimensions and tolerances using Micrometres, Vernier's, Callipers, etc.

Monitor Feed and speed of manufacturing machinery Measuring and recording build tolerances and determine parts that require repair.

Self-inspecting your own work with hand tools Centre Lathe Turner Job Requirements Previous experience in the setting and operating of Manual Lathes Able to read and interpret Mechanical drawings Either Time served or City and Guilds qualified in Mechanical Engineering Familiarity with Health and safety standards, any H&S qualifications would be a bonus Based within a commutable distance of Sheffield Full UK Driving licence Centre Lathe Turner Salary & Benefits £16.93 per hour Monday
