Job Description

I am currently working with an award-winning Leeds firm that are seeking a Solicitor with experience in handling Claimant Clinical Negligence matters.


This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and motivated individual to play a key role in the growth and development of the firm’s expanding Clinical Negligence department.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage a caseload of clinical negligence claims from inception to settlement, including both pre- and post-litigation matters.
  • Conduct thorough case investigations, gather evidence, and liaise with medical experts.
  • Progress claims in accordance with the CPR and relevant Pre-Action Protocols.
  • Negotiate settlements effectively and professionally.


Essential Knowledge & Skills


  • Strong litigation experience.
  • Excellent understanding of the CPR and the Pre-Action Protocol for the Resolution of Clinical Disputes.
  • Proven experience of handling a variety of complex clinical negligence claims from inception to conclusion.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience working to targets and KPIs.


Desirable Knowledge & Experience


  • Experience using the Proclaim case management system.
  • Experience training junior staff in clinical negligence matters.
  • Exposure to working with marketing teams to support departmental growth.


Experience Required


  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling Claimant Clinical Negligence claims.
