A large UK university is looking for a Cloud Architect to join its Digital Services team, delivering secure, scalable cloud platforms that support teaching, learning, and research. This is a hands-on, player-coach role , combining architecture with engineering across modern cloud and DevOps environments.
Key Responsibilities Design and deliver cloud architecture (Azure-focused, some AWS) Build and deploy infrastructure using IaC (Azure Bicep) Implement secure networking and governance controls (VNets, Private Endpoints, Azure Policy) Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) Deploy AI and data services into production Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support Mentor engineers and promote best practice Requirements Essential: Strong experience in a senior cloud role (Architect/Engineer) Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure Proven IaC delivery (Bicep preferred) Experience with Azure security & networking CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Scripting (PowerShell/Bash)<...
