A specialist precision engineering manufacturer is expanding it's Midlands operation and is looking to hire an experienced CNC Machinist to join their growing team.
This CNC Machinist role sits within a high-spec tool grinding environment, working on 5 axis CNC machines producing precision carbide cutting tools for industries such as aerospace, medical, and motor sport.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CNC Machinist looking to develop their skills in a more specialist area, with clear progression and strong earning potential through shift premiums.
What you'll be doing as a CNC Machinist

Working as a CNC Machinist setting and operating 5 axis CNC machines

Producing precision carbide tools to tight tolerances
Working with advanced grinding machinery including Walter and Rollomatic
Carrying out inspection using appropriate measuring equipment
Monitoring machine performance and resolving issues
Supporting operators with technical queries and setup guidance
Essential skills needed from the CNC Machinist:

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a precision engineering environment

Experience setting and operating CNC machines independently
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Experience working to tight tolerances
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Desirable skills needed from the CNC Machinist:

Experience within a CNC tool grinding environment

Exposure to machines such as Walter, Rollomatic or similar
Apprenticeship or formal engineering qualification.
