This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor (7–8 years PQE) to join the Leeds office and play a key role in the continued growth of a high-performing team.


Role Overview

The successful candidate will manage a broad and varied caseload of commercial real estate transactions, acting for a range of clients including investors, landlords, tenants, and developers. You’ll handle complex matters independently, support junior team members, and contribute to business development initiatives within the department.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of commercial property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, and development work.
  • Act for landlords, tenants, investors, and developers across multiple sectors.
  • Draft, negotiate, and complete a range of real estate documentation including agreements for lease, overage agreements, and option agreements.
  • Advise clients on property finance transactions and liaise with lenders, brokers, and external counsel.
  • Supervise and mentor junior solicitors or paralegals within the team.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing commercially sound and pragmatic advice.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth through networking, business development, and client engagement initiatives.


Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 7–8 years PQE in commercial property law.
  • Proven experience handling a wide range of real estate matters independently.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to provide practical legal solutions.
  • Experience supervising junior team members is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
